Traditional Clogs
This is a pair of one offs made for a man with oedema. He couldn't have an operation till he was fit enough, and until he got specially made footwear he couldn't walk to get fit. I had to make them so he could drop his feet into them. They worked. He got his operation.
This pair was made for a Darryll who couldn't walk for more than 5 minutes due to arthritic pain brought on by constantly flexing his feet. They were built on a shoe last so his foot is relatively flat but with the underside curved so he just rolls along in them. He walks pain free now.
The brown pair are yet another pair for Rick O'Brien but these are round toed. He just kept buying pair after pair so he could walk his dog in the countryside; probably had less faith in my life expectancy than my product. He's pain free whilst he walks in these.

Orthotics, and Orthopaedic Footwear
Generally, the main function of orthopaedic shoes is to provide more support for the feet and ankles than is accomplished by basic footwear. The exact design for the shoes will vary, depending on the nature of the particular health problem of the wearer. For example, different types of orthopaedic shoes would be used to provide relief for such condition as bunions, hammertoe, or fallen arches. There is no one design for the orthopedic shoe that will effectively work for all types of foot or leg problems.
I am often asked to make specialist footwear for specific orthotic and orthapeadic problems and am very happy to provide this sort of service.
